Furniture programs

Your design, produced at scale.

Custom office and commercial furniture, manufactured at quantity. Your design team develops the piece — we prototype it, resolve the details, and produce the run across every location the program covers.

The model

We don’t have a catalog. You do.

Custom furniture is expensive to design and comparatively cheap to repeat. Most of the money in a one-off desk goes into drawings, samples, and the three revisions nobody planned for — and there is no second unit to spread it across.

We are built for the other half of that equation. Bring us the drawings your design team already produced. We build a prototype, work the details out in the shop where they are cheap to change, and then produce the run — the same piece, to the same spec, across as many locations as the program calls for.

It means the development cost lands once, spread across the whole order, instead of landing on a single piece. It is why a fifty-desk program often costs less per desk than a serious one-off.

STEP 01
Design development

You bring drawings, a design intent, or a piece you already own and want reproduced. We review it for buildability, flag what will fight the material, and price the program.

STEP 02
Prototype

One unit, built the way the run will be built. Reveals, hardware, edge profiles and finish get resolved on a real piece rather than in a PDF. You sign off on the thing itself.

STEP 03
Production run

The approved prototype becomes the standard. Parts are programmed once and cut to the same numbers every time, staged by location, and shipped on the rollout schedule.

A furniture line specified once, installed in nine locations.

A national bank’s design team developed a custom office furniture line. We coordinated design for manufacture, production and installation across nine sites in six cities, coast to coast, including UL-certified pieces where the specification called for them.

This is the shape of the work: one approved design, a prototype that settles the details, and then units produced to the identical spec, crated and shipped by location on the rollout schedule.

Program · Hospitality

Eighty rooms of furniture and vanities, plus the bar.

Furniture and bathroom vanities for eighty guest rooms of a boutique hotel, along with its bar and the adjacent coffee shop. Hospitality is the purest version of the model: the same casegood, eighty times, to a tolerance that holds up when a guest slams the drawer.

Programs at this scale live or die on staging and sequencing. Rooms come online in phases, and the furniture has to land in the right order without a warehouse bill in between.

What we build

Casegoods, tables, and workplace furniture — in quantity.

The pieces that repeat across a floor plan, a rollout, or a property. If it is a casegood and there is more than one of it, it belongs here.

01

Workstations & benching

Desks, benching systems, returns, and pedestal storage. Built to your design team’s drawings and repeated across the floor plate.

02

Reception & front-of-house

Reception desks, host stands, and check-in casework. Usually one per site, and identical across every site in the program. Can be customized or one-off if you want it that way.

03

Storage & credenzas

Credenzas, lockers, wardrobe units, and open shelving. Solid hardwood, veneer, and laminate — specified by you, sourced by us.

04

Hospitality casegoods

Guest-room casegoods, vanities, headboards, and minibar units. Built to survive a property’s worth of daily use.

05

Retail fixtures

Cash wraps, display units, and fixture programs that have to look identical in every store and survive retail volume.

06

Mixed-material assemblies

Wood with steel, glass, acrylic or solid surface. We fabricate the wood and coordinate the rest through the same set of drawings.

What we need from you

The five things that make a program quotable.

You do not need all of it to start a conversation — but the more of it exists, the faster a real number comes back.

01
Drawings or a reference piece

Shop drawings, design intent drawings, a Revit or Rhino model, or a physical piece you want reproduced. We work from any of them.

02
Quantity and locations

How many units, and where they go. This is the single biggest driver of the per-unit price — and the reason a program prices differently than a one-off.

03
Material and finish direction

Species, veneer, laminate, finish sheen. If the specification is still open we will bring options and samples with the prototype.

04
Certification requirements

UL, fire rating, ADA clearances, or a client standard. Tell us early — certification changes construction, not just paperwork.

05
The rollout schedule

When each site needs to be furnished. Programs are staged to that calendar, so the schedule shapes the production plan as much as the drawings do.

One-off pieces

Occasionally, when the scope justifies the setup. A single custom desk or a one-of-a-kind conference table carries the full development cost by itself, and we will tell you honestly what that comes to before you commit. If you want one anyway, ask — we build them.

Accuracy/Rigor/Refinement

Why a program lands here.

01

Unit fifty matches unit one

Parts are programmed once and cut from the same file every run. That is the whole reason a CNC shop is the right home for repeated furniture — the fiftieth cabinet side is not a fresh interpretation of the drawing.

02

Twenty-five years of program work

Ian Riggs ran production for a high-end millwork and furniture company across two facilities, including a 50,000 sq ft floor, delivering multi-site furniture programs for banks, hotels and corporate interiors before founding Riggs WoodCraft in 2023.

03

Design-for-manufacture, early

The details that blow a budget are found in the prototype, not the tenth unit. We read the full drawing set before quoting and surface the expensive decisions while they are still cheap to change.
